NOVEMBER 25TH - REWOUND: BEST OF SHOW V.2

Welcome to The Western Front - 120m of music, news, and views. We broadcast across the Front Range on alternate Wednesdays from 9-11 pm MT.

Audio Archive:

Thanks for joining us for a special Metro Arts edition of the "best of" The Western Front. This afternoon from 12-1 pm MT we'll rewind the archives to share some highlights from the last eight months of the show. We'll hear a performance and conversation with Hot IQ's. Sam Fuqua chats it up with Kid Koala. We'll steer you toward a free mp3, and Joe King catches us up On The Internets.

All that and the latest news... John Schaefer guides you through the dust of the past. Don't miss it.

FEATURES FOR THIS AFTERNOON:

Kid Koala Interview:

In case you don't already know, Kid Koala is one of the most amazing turntablists on the planet. KGNU's very own Sam Fuqua catches up with Kid Koala to get the scoop on his approach to composition and his attempts to use the turntable as an improvisational melodic instrument.

On The Internets:

Joe King is back with another installment of "On The Internets" and this time out it's another look at remix culture with our very own commander in chief in the crossfader. Listen in for some extraordinary editing, plus... are those robots?!? Look out!

Hot IQs Performance:

That's right, Hot IQs are here to rock your radio. Rob Bell chats with Eli, Elaine, and Bryan about their evolution from the Royal We to the super-smart hotdogs that they are today. Just how exactly do a couple of college radio DJs turn themselves into the CDs that other college radio DJs play? Curious, isn't it?
