OCTOBER 12TH - COUGH UP THE CASH!

Welcome to The Western Front - 120m of music, news, and views. We broadcast across the Front Range on alternate Wednesdays from 9-11 pm MT.

We're back again with another exciting show and this time we're going to need your help to pull it off. That's right, we need you to go to your phone or computer and pledge your support for community radio. KGNU can only exist through the generous support of our listener members. Tonight we're looking to hear from 10 new or renewing members of KGNU. Now is the time, we're counting on you.

Tonight Sam Fuqua chats with Leon Michels of The El Michels Affair and Funk and Soul record label Truth & Soul. Rob Bell checks in with The Swayback for a conversation and live performance. Joe King plugs us in On The Internets, and more. Joel Davis guides us through the madness... stay close.

FEATURES FOR THIS EVENING:

Fall Fundraiser:

It's that time of year again, time for you to dig deep into your wallet and fish out some extra coinage for your friends at the good ol' community radio station. You can call and pledge your support at 303.449.4885, 1.800.737.3030 or simply click here to help to keep KGNU going.

Interview: The El Michels Affair

KGNU's Sam Fuqua chats with Leon Michels. In addition to running the Funky Brooklyn label Truth & Soul, Leon is also the main man behind the revivalist super group, the El Michels Affair. Check out the onversation and a few tunes from his new recording.

Performance: The Swayback

Rob Bell chats with memebers of The Swayback, and they treat us to a performance. They're bringing enough amplifiers to level the building. Tune in to see if the building's structural integrity remains intact.

On The Internets:

KGNU's own Joe King is back on the internets to take a closer look at the Colorado TechWeek Blogger Party. Joe chats with Larry Nelson of W3W3 Media, host of the Colorado TechWeek Blogger Party, and author Dave Taylor, who'll be blogging live at the event.
